Hello Hellcats!!
Well February just flew by didn't it?! And what a great month it's been!
We kicked off February with our first competition of the season - ICC Southerns. We were so impressed with how hard our teams worked to be ready for this competition. Going from usually competing in July to competing at the start of February was a huge challenge but our girls really put in the work and it paid off.
Lions, Panthers, Leopards and Jaguars all competed at ICC Southerns and we came away with two 4th places, one 3rd place and Leopards came 1st and were divison champions for the Senior All-Girl 2.1 Division which is incredible!
We are so proud of everyone that competed, many of whom it was their first ever cheerleading competition! All the girls were so professional and a credit to our squad so thank you and we can't wait for the next one in June.
February has also been a great month for new skills. Our athletes have been mastering new tumbles all over the place this month and we are absolutely chuffed to see them working so hard to be the best they can be.
From our Rec Team all the way through to Leopards, we have been seeing handstands, cartwheels, round-offs, backbends, back walkovers, front walkovers and more being achieved in training and tumble clinics and it just goes to show that repping the drills and putting in the work really does pay off.
We are looking forward to seeing even more skills being achieved over the next few months. Don't forget our next compulsory Tumble Clinic is Sunday 24th March 2019.
Following what we hope was a relaxing half-term break, we can't wait to get back into the gym to start upgrading our all-star routines and completing our Tigers and Cheetahs routines.
This half-term we are really going to be focussing on technique and performance so be ready for lots of drills and reps (and maybe even some friendly competition too...)
Just a friendly reminder that invoices need to be paid this week for this half-term. Rec team, don't forget that we have changed the training times and will now be training 5-6:30pm on Thursdays in the gym. This time change has been reflected in your invoice for this half term.
All outstanding competition payments are also due this week! Make sure to get them in to avoid late-payment charges for the whole team!
We are also planning our first Hellcats Showcase at the end of this season! It is still in the planning stages at the moment but we are very excited about it so keep your eyes peeled for more information.

BOSHAM VARIETY SHOW!
Cheetahs are performing in Bosham Variety Show on Saturday 16th March 2019 @4-6pm.
Tickets for those wanting to watch this performance are now on sale at £6 per person. If you would like to purchase tickets please let us know how many you would like ASAP so we can secure them for you!
The girls will be performing alongside various other acts and the show lasts around 2 hours. Performers do not need tickets.
Our next compulsory Tumble Clinic for Tigers, Panthers and Leopards is Sunday 24th March.
Level 2 Tumbling is from 9:30-11:30am.
Level 1 Tumbling is from 11:30-1:30pm.
Tumble clinics are compulsory for all competitive athletes and are held at Sportac Gymnastics Centre in Feltham.
These clinics are perfect for mastering new skills and working on tumble passes etc for competition! Unauthorised absences will result in an attendance strike.
Our next competition is BCA Summer Showdown!
This competition is for all our All-Star teams: Lions, Jaguars, Panthers and Leopards.
BCA Summer Showdown takes place at Guildford Spectrum on the 1st and 2nd June 2019.
Information about tickets will be released closer to the time as we have not received the information from BCA yet.
