June Newsletter - Events, Exciting News and End of Season Fun!

Hello Hellcats!!

What a month! June has disappeared in the blink of an eye and we are suddenly in our last week of the season! We have lots of information to share with you this month so please bear with us!

We kicked June off with our second competition of the season, BCA Summer Showdown in Guildford on 1st & 2nd June.

Our All-Star teams from Weybridge all competed and did an incredible job and we are so proud of every athlete that took the floor.

Lions put out an amazing performance, hit a zero run and took home 5th place in the Junior Level 2 All-Girl Stunt Group division - well done girls!

Jaguars were in Senior Level 3 All-Girl Stunt Group and also hit a zero run which gave them 7th place in a very tough division. We are so proud of them.

Panthers were in a HUGE division of 13 teams in the Junior Level 1 division and they gave an outstanding performance! They earned 9th place and we couldn't be prouder of how far this team has come.

Leopards took home 4th place in the Senior 2.1 division and although it wasn't the run we hoped for, we were so impressed with how this team rallied and persevered through their routine and we can't wait to see them take the floor again this week!

Finally, our first ever dance soloist, Scarlet, made her competitive debut and completely blew us away! Her acro dance routine was flawless and she came 2nd out of a huge division of 12 in the Youth Dance Solo category. Well done Scarlet!

All our All-Star teams as well as Rec Team and our school teams, Tigers and Lynx are working so incredibly hard in preparation for our first ever showcase and our final competitions of the season in Bournemouth this weekend! We are SO excited to be able to see all our Weybridge teams hit the mat in one weekend and we are excited to spend some time together at the beach and celebrating another amazing season.

Cheetahs have finished their first season as a recreational team and concluded it with an epic performance at our Chichester showcase on Saturday 29th June. These girls have been working so hard to learn new skills all season and it completely paid off. We can't wait for next season with them to see them take on the competition circuit for the first time!

We are so excited to be opening ALL our teams (Chichester and Weybridge) up to new members from Tuesday 9th July with new training times! More information on these updated times can be found further down this newsletter. We are also offering FREE trials for newbies and are re-introducing our Bring A Friend incentive - for every friend you introduce to Hellcats that signs up for the 2019-20 season, we will give you a £5 voucher for use in our online pro-shop!

This week is sure to be a busy one with our Showcase on Wednesday (3rd July). Please remember your tickets, they can be purchased online or we will have a few available on the door. Seating is limited so please make sure you get your tickets before they sell out, once they're gone - they're gone!

All Weybridge cheerleaders are required to be at Heathside School for 4pm. Please make sure you have your bows and your cheer shoes! Coaches will be on hand from 3pm to set up so if any cheerleaders who go to the school would rather stick around and give us a hand, you are more than welcome!

Doors open to parents from 5:30pm (please note we will be in the Sports Hall instead of the gym) with the show starting promptly at 6pm.

We will also be presenting our end of season awards at the end of showcase. Each team will have a Most Dedicated, Most Improved and a Cheerleader of the Year!

To celebrate our final training session of the 2018-19 season (how has that happened so fast?!) we are holding an American themed Open Gym session on Thursday 4th July from 3-5pm. This will be free for all existing Hellcats Cheerleaders and is the perfect opportunity to practice some new stunts and tumbles ahead of team evaluations and placements in a couple of weeks! We would like to invite all cheerleaders to wear Red, White and Blue and join us for a couple of hours of fun before our last competition of the season! Leopards are also encouraged to wear their American themed outfits for their final practice from 5-7pm.

Hopefully that's everything! We are so excited to be finishing this season with a bang and can't wait to see what next season holds. Please keep an eye on all our social media channels and your messages for any last minute important information that may have been missed in this newsletter!

See you at training! Rachel, Laura and Charlie
