Lockdown Part 2

Updated: Nov 2, 2020

Hi Everyone,

Well that excitement about being able to stunt was short lived!! Just as we look to start back on to our path to 'normality' we are knocked back again. But we will get through this, Together!

To reduce social contact, the Government has ordered certain businesses and venues to close from Thursday the 5th November. These include indoor and outdoor leisure facilities such as bowling alleys, leisure centres and gyms, sports facilities including swimming pools, golf courses and driving ranges, dance studios, stables and riding centres, soft play facilities, climbing walls and climbing centres, archery and shooting ranges, water and theme parks. So therefore I am afraid it means we must shut our doors again.

We are yet to receive exact details but as it stands this is supposed to just be for a month until the 2nd of December so we will therefore be taking all our classes online for November. Our timetable will remain the same as your normal training times so as to avoid confusion and means that we can continue to work on choreography in our time apart and keep everyone's fitness and flexibility up so that this time apart doesn't have a negative impact on the teams. All teams will do an hour of conditioning and stretching, an hour of routine choreography and an hour of tumble drills a week to keep everything as normal as possible. If you attend a recreational class or dance class these will still just be an hour in length.

We are aware this isn’t the most ideal scenario for training and we would all much prefer to be physically training in the gym together. Our goal is to try and keep things as close to ‘normal’ as possible for all of our athletes and coaches as we believe this is important for both their physical and mental wellbeing at this time and we are doing the best we can with what we have to work with.

We know this isn't easy for anyone but we thank you once again for your continued support.

If we have to lock down for longer than a month we will reassess the situation if it comes to it. Our online classes will start on Thursday 5th November and I will send you all the applicable links for your November classes before then.

We do also have an update on our 2021 competitions so if that effects you please keep your eyes peeled for a second announcement this week as I will do this in a separate newsletter.
