October Newsletter - Recaps, Reminders and Really Exciting News!

Happy Halloween, Hellcats!

It has been a VERY busy month at Hellcats HQ with lots of exciting things happening!

Cheetahs have been working hard on their tumbling and stunting skills and are making great progress. It's great to see them working so well together. Keep up the great work girls!

Tigers have been training hard on Wednesdays working on their jump technique and tumbling to counts. We have also been playing around with stunt groups and have enjoyed watching this team start to create some great friendships as they work together. DON'T FORGET - No training for Tigers this week (October 31st) as it is still half term. All other teams are still training as normal.

Panthers and Leopards have begun routine building for their first competitions in February! It will be here before we know it and we are so impressed with how hard both these teams are working. Don't forget that entry fees for ICC Southerns are due THIS WEEK with your invoices. Please note that late payments will result in us being charged a late-entry fee by the event organisers if we miss the entry deadline!

Lynx, Lions and Jaguars have also been working really hard on developing their stunt sequences and have even been helping coaches with choreography! We can't wait to see how these groups get on this season!

We had an amazing half-term Tumble Camp with Mychael from Max Out Cheer and Tumble on Friday - thanks to all the girls who came and worked hard, Mychael was very impressed and we hope he will come back and work with us again in the future. Speaking of tumbling, please note that the next Sunday tumble clinic will be on Sunday 18th November at the Gym in Feltham. These sessions are compulsory and unauthorized absences will result in a strike as mentioned in the athlete agreements that were signed at the beginning of the season (Cheetahs, this does not apply to you :) )

Lastly, don't forget that all this week at training we are having Halloween themed practices! Dress up however you like - please make sure you can still cheer in it though!

See you at training! Rachel & Laura

We hope the website will launch this week so keep your eyes peeled for the announcement!

Christmas Party

- Christmas will be here before we know it and Santa and his elves are hard at work planning a Hellcats Christmas Party!

Dates, times and locations are still being kept top secret for the time being (Santa is monitoring his naughty and nice lists closely during the planning process!) and we will let everyone know the details once everything is confirmed so please bear with us :)

Congratulations Coaches!

This month has been awesome for the Hellcats coaching staff!

Assistant Coach Charlie spent a weekend in Essex at a training course with BGU (Building from the Ground Up) and we are so excited to announce that she is now a fully qualified level 1 and 2 cheer and tumbling coach! Congratulations Charlie, we're so proud of you and can't wait to see you put everything you learnt into practice as a fully-fledged coach!

Our Junior Coaches have also been stepping it up. As well as gaining experience with us during training sessions, Olivia, Layla, Nyca and Caitlin travelled to Milton Keynes during half term to attend BGU's 12-16 Junior Coaching course! The 1 day course gave them a real insight into life as a coach and how to make the transition from athlete to coaching staff. They had so much fun and can't wait to get back to practice to show what they learnt. Well done girls, we are so happy to have you on the coaching team this season!

MaxOut Cheer and Tumble Camp

Huge well done to everyone that attended the half-term tumble camp. It was so great to see you all working hard on some new drills and well on your way to gaining new skills! Mychael had a great time working with you all and thinks you have great potential. We hope Mychael will come and work with us again in the future. If you have any feedback from this session or would like us to offer external camps like this more often, please get in contact!
