AGE GRIDS
Hellcats follows the SportCheer England Age Grids and will use this when placing teams. Athlete age is determined as of 31st August 2023 for the 23/24 Season. For example, athletes aged 11 on 31/08/2023 are Youth age for 23/24, even if they turn 12 on 1st September.
NOVICE TEAMS
We have 2 Novice teams in our Addlestone location; one for Minis (age 5-8), one for Youths (age 9-11).
These teams are aimed at those who are new to cheer and want to compete. No experience necessary for our Novice teams, our athletes focus on the fundamentals of stunting, tumbling and jumps with a strong emphasis on learning the correct technique for progression onto our Prep and Elite teams in the future.

Our Novice athletes currently compete in 3 competitions a year between February and July. They also perform in our annual End of Season Showcase.

PREP TEAMS
We have Prep teams for Youth (9-11) and Junior (12-14) aged athletes in our Addlestone location.

Our Prep Teams are aimed at athletes with little to no prior cheerleading experience. Our Prep teams focus on the fundamentals of stunting, tumbling and jumps with a strong emphasis on learning the correct technique to progress onto our Elite teams in the future.

Our Prep athletes currently compete in 3 competitions a year between February and July. They also perform in our annual End of Season Showcase.

ELITE TEAMS
We have 1 Elite team in our Addlestone location; Senior Level 2 (ages 15+)

This team is invite only and aimed at athletes that have mastered their Elite Level 1 stunts and tumbles and wish to progress their skills to the next level. Pre-requisite skills for this team include all Elite Level 1 tumble passes, a standing Back Handspring and a Round Off Back Handspring (desirable).

Our Elite athletes currently compete in 4-5 competitions a year between February and July. They also perform in our annual End of Season Showcase.

SNOW LEOPARDS
Senior Level 2

TRAVEL TEAMS
We have 1 Travel Team in our Addlestone location; International Under 18 Level 1 (born 2005-2010)
This team is invite only and aimed at athletes that have mastered their Elite Level 1 stunts and tumbles and wish to progress their skills to the next level. Pre-requisite skills for this team include all Elite Level 1 tumble passes and strong stunting technique at Elite Level 1. This team is open to athletes from both of our locations and has one 6-hour training camp per month at our Addlestone location.
Our International athletes currently compete in 6-7 competitions a year between February and July. They also perform in our annual End of Season Showcase.
